Printing purchase orders: a project in progress in France

The context

A digital printing business in southern France handles orders across production, project management and accounting. It uses a general project management tool to track orders and an accounting ERP for invoicing.

The problem

The need concerns repeated data entry between the management tool and the accounting ERP, as well as manual preparation of purchase orders. The project aims to reduce that repeated work and the risk of discrepancies between the two systems.

The LYVIA project in progress

The project concerns a custom management tool to prepare purchase orders from a centralised data entry point. It is in progress and has not been delivered. Its scope, features and operation still need to be validated with the customer.

  • Goal: enter an order once to support the agreed workflow stages.
  • Prepare purchase order generation in a format to be validated with the customer.
  • Check data consistency between management and accounting.
  • Adapt the workflow to the business’s constraints and existing tools.

Results still need to be validated

Reducing repeated entry and errors is an objective. No time saving or production outcome has been established at this stage. The features need testing and validation before their effects can be observed in use.
